RECTOR MAGNIFICIUS:

Rector Magnificus, Professor Wladyslaw Wlodzimierz Gaworecki

Prof. Wladyslaw Wlodzimierz Gaworecki has been holding the honorable Rector's office since 1996 when the Higher School of Tourism and Hotel Industry was founded. He specializes in economics of tourism and services. His major fields of interest are theory of tourism, international tourism, functions and disfunctions of contemporary tourism and international tourism markets. His teaching competence is a result of his 40-year experience of teaching in higher education institutions (the Higher School of Economics, the University of Gdansk and the Higher School of Tourism and Hotel Industry in Gdansk), reviewing many doctoral and postdoctoral dissertations, professorial motions and applications to the State Committee for Scientific Research as well as participating in various scientific research projects and leading research teams. He is an author of many publications, including 2 monographic books and 6 academic textbooks. His textbook "Tourism" will be edited for the fifth time. Prof. W.W. Gaworecki, thanks to his outstanding position in scientific environment, is often invited as a consultant to help shape the tourism policy of our country and our region. Moreover, Prof. W.W. Gaworecki carries out many additional duties. He is a member of the Tourism Council attached to the Ministry of Economy of Poland and the Speaker of Pomeranian Province.




VICE-RECTOR:

Assist. Prof. Halina Jendrasik, M. Sc. Eng.

MSc Halina Jendrasik has been holding the Chancellor's office since 1996 when the Higher School of Tourism and Hotel Industry in Gdansk was founded. She has been Vice-Rector since 15 November 2001. She is responsible among others for: the publishing activity of the School, organizing post-graduate studies and specialized courses, initiating scientific researches, library work, collecting library files and organizing foreign trainings for students. These activities are particularly important for the development of scientific and educational activity of our school.




DEAN:

Dean, Assoc. Prof. Krystyna  Maroszek, PhD

The Dean has been an academic teacher for many years and leads a number of seminars and lectures. Her major fields of interest are: psychology of tourism and the psychology of  family and the phenomenon of social pathology among young people.
